New Adventure: Spring Break

I found myself at loose ends after Mardi Gras. The campground emptied out for the most part and I was left to recover from the revelry in the newly calm and quiet atmosphere — and the rain quit, yeah!

The University of Sydney

School is still in session for Claire and she thought it’d be fun for me to tag along with her to class.  I’ve always been curious what people actually do at a university so I figured what the hell.  Plus, Claire’s getting a degree in something that could mean future travel, and you know I’m a sucker for traveling.

Richmond and Old Haunts

Well, I made it to Richmond and it’s been almost a week. I’ve been making the rounds and reminiscing. I went by my high school and my first impression was that it had somehow shrunk. I did meet Mr. Robinson, an old teacher (this was Tuesday) and he invited me to judge at the science fair (held yesterday). It was a hoot to suddenly and mysteriously be an adult in a place I had only ever been a teenager. All the kids seem so young and bright eyed.
